Los Rios' focus on student success and, as a result, enhancing the vitality of our region, is represented in this logo system. Under the shield all four Los Rios colleges, the students we serve, faculty, staff, and our regional partners are unified as one community and one district.
The word community in the logo acts as an anchor to highlight the district's commitment to inclusion.
The emphasis on community acts as an intrinsic tagline that works to promote the district even when no other tagline is present. The logo also highlights the vital resources and mighty rivers of the Sacramento region with bold, fluid shapes and transitioning shades of blue.
Our logo is the visual cornerstone of the brand. Please follow our guides to ensure correct use of the logo and its variations.
Our logo is vital to the brand. Acting as a signature, an identifier, and a stamp of quality, it represents us at the very highest level. The Los Rios Community College District logo is used on all publications, internal documents, promotions, and collateral material representing the district.
The logo is available in three variations to ensure wide implementation in a variety of end uses and dimensions.
The web versions of the logo are only to be used on the district website. There is a desktop and mobile version.
There is a full-color logo, black logo, and white logo. Make sure there is enough contrast for the white logo on a colored background.
It is crucial to protect the space around the logo in order to retain its integrity and impact. The minimum clear space must be used and maintained throughout all District materials. Use the "L" within the wordmark when measuring for the proper clear space. This measuring tool is always in relation to the size of the logo on the page.
Never reduce the logo to less than 1.5 inches for print materials and maintain 100-pixel width for any and all digital collateral. There is no maximum size limit but use discretion when sizing the logo.
Print: Minimum 1.5 inches wide.
Digital: Minimum 100 pixels wide.
The logo must be used with consistency in order to keep brand continuity and visual impact. Here are some examples of how not to use the logo.

As such, there must be visual continuity and cohesion between the various partners. Following these guidelines will help ensure that students and members of our community understand the relationship between the district and our colleges. That consistent brand connection conveys a level of quality and opportunity throughout our district.

Use on materials and information shared broadly throughout the Sacramento region where the recognition of connection to the larger district may signal high value and/or service. There may be specific exceptions to this use case.
The secondary lockup versions are to be used when spacing/sizing is limited. They are more ideal for social and digital pieces.
Many initiatives and community partners have unique logos created to better help individualize them for marketing purposes. While they may contain unique graphic elements and font styling, these logos must follow this defined lockup format.
