CRC's Department of Journalism, in partnership with the Journalism Student Association present "Trustworthy,” a documentary film that looks at the importance of journalism’s role in a strong democracy. The documentary crew interviewed journalists, professors, political experts and everyday Americans across the political spectrum about how we got to this critical moment, how we can become better news and information consumers, and how we can come together to rise above the misinformation and discourse aimed at dividing our communities.

Our film screening will be followed by a panel discussion with the film’s Executive Producer Stephany Zamora, Sacramento Bee Political Reporter Nicole Nixon, Fox40’s Managing Editor Alexander Walker, and Sacramento State Journalism Professor Fernando Gallo.
