Course Benefits

  • Free to Los Rios (and all California community college) staff and faculty
  • Participants who complete the self-paced course and assessments will be awarded a Certificate of Completion. Certificates will be distributed after the fourth week of the cohort, regardless of course completion date.
  • Participants who earn a certificate will have ongoing access to review the course materials after the cohort closes.

Course Format

All five course modules will be available immediately when a cohort opens, allowing participants to progress at their own pace. The course must be completed within 60 business days to earn a certificate of completion.

Registration and Enrollment

A valid California Community College-affiliated email address (.edu) is required to register. Once registered, participants must accept the course invitation, which will come from USU Online Courses. Enrollment is activated upon completing the “Terms of Use” quiz. The Accessibility Center is covering the cost of course enrollment once per person. The entire course requires approximately ten hours of work and must be completed within 60 business days (excluding weekends and U.S. holidays). Participants who do not finish the course within this time frame will lose access.
