The Los Rios A-Team is an internal service dedicated to assisting faculty members in the remediation of documents. Our goal is to streamline and simplify the remediation process.

By using the Web Accessibility Content Guidelines in alignment with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act as our guide, our process improves usability for everyone including students using mobile devices, English-language learners, students with disabilities, Veterans, neurodivergent, and other variable learners; setting up success for all students. It is a proactive solution to providing equal access for all learners to access the same materials and resources.

How It Works

  1. Submit a Document Remediation Request to receive document upload instructions.
  2. Upload documents to be remediated, including your syllabus.
  3. Receive remediated documents.

Your college’s Universal Design and Accessibility (UDA) Coordinator may reach out to clarify formatting preferences. Documents include Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; Google Docs, Slides, and Sheets, and PDFs. 

In addition, you may also request technical support and guidance from your UDA Coordinator to learn how to remediate on your own.
