Overview
An automated external defibrillator (AED) is used to help people experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. AEDs are installed throughout the district in identified departments and areas. Employees must be trained and certified to use an AED.
Training
Los Rios Police Department (LRPD) coordinates training and certification to use AED technology.
Contact LRPD to get information about training. Trainings are available at various times or by request.
Re-Certification
If you have already been trained and certified, then LRPD will monitor your certificate and remind you before it expires.
