  • Fall 2022 Dual Enrollment/Advanced Education Student Profile
    • Published May 2023
    • Insights into the demographic, socioeconomic status, and outcomes of advanced education students who attend the Los Rios colleges.
  • Student Services Mode Preference
    • Published April 2023
    • An additional question has been added to the CCCApplication and the Los Rios supplemental that asks students their Student Services Mode preferences (online, on ground, or hybrid [both online and on ground]). The newest Power BI Dashboards provide student mode preferences based on question preferences. The Student Services Mode preferences can be filtered by race/ethnicity gender, first generation, and age. Data is updated daily.

  • Withdrawals by Drop Reason
    • Published January 2023
    • In summer 2021, students were asked to respond to a series of statements as to why they were dropping their class(es). This Power BI dashboard provides those responses including the ability to filter by student characteristics. There is a slider tool, which provides the ability to choose a date range for the drop reason (such as first week before classes, first census date, and so on).

  • Fall 2022 Student Campus Climate Survey
    • Published December 2022
    • During the 2021 academic year, as requested by the Los Rios Community College District Board of Trustees and college and district leadership, the District Research Council was asked to develop and administer a Student Campus Climate survey with a focused lens on equity. Survey recipients were asked to provide their level of agreement to a series of statements, each of which are organized around the following themes:overall experiences; academic success; course experiences; student success support services; and equity, inclusion, diversity and social justice experiences.
  • Fall 2022 to Spring 2023 Daily Persistence Tree
    • Updated November 2022
    • Based on spring 2023 daily enrollment, the Daily Persistence Power BI Tree provides district and college spring to fall persistence rates with the ability to select one or multiple characteristics from the Persistence Tree by selecting the + indicator next to the overall Persistence Rate. This data will be refreshed daily at 8:30 am to reflect the most current data available hence the Persistence Rates will change to reflect the daily refresh.

  • Fall 2022 Student Profile
    • Published October 2022
    • This annual report series based on official fall fourth-week census data provides student demographics. This is important information for successful planning to meet the needs of our diverse students.
  • Enrollment by Student Enrollment Attribute Trends
    • Published September 2022
    • This dashboard provides ten fall terms of enrollment by the student enrollment status attribute (continuing, new, returning, and special admit) with the ability to filter by college, demographics, and unit load. Includes enrollment counts as well as enrollment status as a proportion of total enrollment.

  • Expanded Race and Ethnicity Categories by Asian Ethnicity Categories
    • Updated August 2022
    • Provides fall 2021 enrollment, course success, and student persistence by expanded Asian ethnicity categories.
  • Strategic Plan Indicators of Achievement
    • Updated August 2022 to reflect Fall 2021 and 2020-2021 data
    • The Office of Institutional Research has developed an indicators of achievement matrix, which provides strategic outcome goals, baseline data, and outcomes for each indicator within the district's strategic plan. Data has been updated to reflect the most current data available.

  • Academic Year Enrollment and Outcomes Data
    • Published July 2022
    • See enrollment and outcomes data by academic year for the most recent five years. This dashboard provides the ability to filter by student demography by college and districtwide.

  • Strategic Enrollment Management
    • Updated June 2022
    • See historical enrollment (updated to include ten years of data through Fall 2021 and the 2021-2022 academic year) across the Los Rios district and colleges, presented for fall and by academic year.
  • EOPS Power BI Dashboard

    • The EOPS dashboard provides data on enrollment, student demography, attributes, outcomes, and persistence for EOPS students who have received support services at a Los Rios college.

  • Adult Learner Dashboard
    • Published February 2022
    • In response to an interest in older students (those 25 and older) the Los Rios colleges support, we have published a Power BI dashboard that includes enrolment, outcomes, and persistence of older students attending our colleges. The ability to filter by demography and student attributes is provided. In addition, there are filters for each age category: 25 to 30, 30 to 39, and 40 and over, and you can select one or all by age.

  • Impact of HS Algebra 2 on Math Outcomes
    • Published December 2021
    • OIR has replicated an RP Group study on the impact of high school Algebra 2 on math throughput and outcomes based on Los Rios data. The OIR study validates that Los Rios student outcomes do not differ substantively with that of the RP Group study: the single best way for a student to maximize the probability of completing transfer-level math in their first year is to begin in a transfer-level math course. The findings of the study as well as detailed methodology and statistical methods are presented in this report.

  • Fall 2021 Trendlines: Student Access and Success
    • Published October 2021
    • This annual report provides information about: student enrollment; demographics; transfers to CSU, UC, ISP and OOS; degrees and certificates awarded; success outcomes; and service area population data.
  • Vision for Success Goals
    • Updated October 2021 to include 2020-2021 awards data
    • The Vision for Success challenges all California community colleges with five strategic goals. We've prepared a set of charts that align with the Vision for Success goals based on Los Rios data that present clear benchmark data visualizations on where Los Rios and the four colleges are in terms of achieving the goals, as well as provide preliminary indicator data of where we need to be by 2022.
  • Expanded Ethnicity Categories
    • Published September 2021
    • A Power BI Dashboard that provides the flexibility to select each of the 122 Race and Ethnicity categories that students may select when they complete their application. The dashboard provides the flexibility to filter by term, college, one or multiple race/ethnicity categories, and student demography. The dashboard provides enrollment, average units attempted and completed, GPA, course success, and persistence.

  • Return to Campus Survey – Spring 2021
    • Published June 2021
    • In spring 2021, the Office of Institutional Research administered a survey to students across the district to gather feedback around the return to on-campus courses and support services in the 2021-22 academic year.

  • Transfers to CSU and UC – Power BI
    • Updated in April 2021 to reflect most recent 2019-2020 CSU and UC transfer data.
    • Student transfer data from the Los Rios colleges to all California public universities is now available in a dynamic Power BI Visualization. Full-year transfer data for the most recent five years is provided for all student transfers to California public universities: University of California (UC) and California State University (CSU). The Power BI Transfer Visualizations provide both dynamic data tables and transfer visualizations in a student-focused environment.

  • Math and Quantitative Reasoning Pathways
    • Published February 2021
    • Student math and quantitative pathway data including enrollment and outcomes by college and districtwide. Data is disaggregated by student demography and attributes as well as the option to to select individual math and quantitative reasoning courses.

  • DSPS Student Survey Results
    • Published December 2020
    • Results of the DSPS student survey administered in Fall 2020, including DSPS Executive Summary and DSPS Frequency Distribution Report. You can also use the Power BI DSPS Survey Results Visualization to see survey results for each question with filtering capabilities by Los Rios college by student demographics (gender, age, race/ethnicity, enrollment status, and first generation).
